The Bachelor's Degree in Quilombola School Education – 1st Degree is offered within the scope of the National Program for the Promotion of Equity in the Training of Basic Education Teachers – PARFOR EQUITY and aims to train professionals for teaching in basic education, in schools in quilombola communities or that serve quilombolas in São Francisco do Conde (BA), promoting the production and dissemination of knowledge through an anti-racist and counter-colonial approach. The course seeks to establish dialogical relationships between UNILAB, quilombola communities and the quilombola social movement. This approach is fundamental for the triadic interaction between university, society and social movements, providing the teaching-learning process with an inclusive character.
The Bachelor's Degree in Quilombola School Education – 1st Degree aims to meet the historical demand of the quilombola population, in addition to meeting, more specifically, what is provided for in strategy 15.5 of the National Education Plan, established by Law No. 13,005, of June 25, 2014. This strategy determines the need to implement specific programs for training education professionals for rural schools and indigenous and quilombola communities and for special education.
In accordance with the legislation that regulates courses of this nature, the Bachelor's Degree in Quilombola School Education – 1st Degree proposes that the professional practice of the course's graduates be based on the principles of contextualization and respect for diversity, theory-practice relationship, relevance and pertinence, inter and transdisciplinarity, flexibility, active learning, procedural and ongoing assessment, ethics and responsibility, innovation and research. In compliance with these principles, professionals who research/work in Quilombola School Education and quilombola educators also participated in the construction of their Course Pedagogical Project (PPC).
COURSE IDENTIFICATION
Course Name: Degree in Quilombola School Education (PARFOR EQUIDADE/UNILAB)
Course Duration: 8 (eight) semesters, with a minimum completion time of 4 (four years) and a maximum of 5 (five years).
School Regime: Biannual
Shifts: morning and afternoon, through Alternating Pedagogy (University Time/TU and Community Time/TC).
